Filippo Addarii is a leading expert in impact investing and aligning public and private interests through partnership. Co-founder and managing partner of PlusValue, an advisory company specialised in the design and implementation of urban innovation ecosystems with impact and sustainability drivers, has brought transformational thinking to institutions’ policymaking, corporate practice, and major urban regeneration projects.
Filippo is a serial social entrepreneur and strategy advisor. He has been an independent advisor on innovation and impact finance to the European Commission since 2007. Today, he is working on a study for the Italian Ministry of Justice and the European Investment Bank to design a social impact bond that will reduce re-offending by providing work to prisoners.
Work with Lendlease, notably on the MIND-Milano Innovation District, has woven impact strategy into innovative approaches to regeneration. He worked with Lendlease to design the first impact investing fund specialised in urban regeneration as an accelerator for new business solutions for sustainability, resilience and quality of life in cities.
As a member of the Impact Advisory Board of Intesa Sanpaolo Bank, he was an expert adviser on the €1.25bn programme, which finances otherwise unbankable clients. Filippo was an adviser on impact investing to the British government and has collaborated with the United Nations and with philanthropic organisations. He co-founded Euclid Network in 2007 and was the first CEO.
